We honor the life and service of every nurse with dignity and reverence — a final tribute rendered by those who understand the calling.
The Regalia
Solid white uniforms are worn under a formal navy blue cape lined in deep red satin, covers the shoulders. A traditional white nurses cap completes the honor guard uniform. Reportedly, exposure of the red lining was used by Florence Nightingale to signify a nurse was on the battlefield. It is a solemn, unmistakable presence.
